Have you ever visited Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami? It’s a gorgeous estate overlooking Biscayne Bay that is over 100 years old. The property was built in Miami by European & Bahamian craftsmen. It was so carefully architected in a European style that many visitors are lead believe that the property was built overseas and then shipped to Miami, it wasn’t!! Today, it stands as a gorgeous cornerstone of Miami history for visitors and locals alike. For locals, it is a highly sought after location for weddings, events, and photoshoots, especially engagement photos!
Zinia and Ron currently live together in Maryland, but my bride is originally from Miami. So there was no doubt in her mind that her engagement session had to take place at Vizcaya! I have to tell you, the day we met for their Vizcaya engagement photos, the Miami sun was shining bright and hot. Normally this could be a challenge when shooting outdoors, but I always find a way to make it work! Luckily, my bride and groom just rolled with it as we walked the grounds of Vizcaya! It doesn’t sound like a big deal, but when you are all dressed up and photoshoot ready it takes some patience to wander around such an enormous place like Vizcaya!!!
You know what I love about photography? It’s the story telling aspect! Capturing that moment to last a lifetime, to look back on for all the days to come.
