This fun family decided that their stay at Bakers Cay Resort was missing a family photoshoot!
As a Key Largo Family Photographer, it’s not uncommon that I receive requests from families who are here on vacation hoping to squeeze in a family photoshoot during their trip. This particular family wanted to break away from traditional studio photos and create something fun and enjoyable! They were specifically looking for photos that they could display in their home year-round. And I was excited to work with them to make that happen.
Vacations in Key Largo are all about fun, the sun, and the beach! So if you’re staying at Bakers Cay and wanting to have a family photoshoot, yes, we are going to have some fun! The kids can run around, shoes optional, of course! And if you’re feeling adventurous, I might get you all to hop in the water as a family, holding hands. Bakers Cay has so many beautiful backdrops for family photoshoots, and we definitely took advantage of that with this family!

Bakers Cay was decked out for the holidays, Key Largo style, so we started out with a few poses in front of a Pampas Christmas Tree! We then made our way to the famous pineapple mural. There these two sweet sisters twirled and hugged, and smiled, in front of the giant colorful pineapples and it was so cute! In between backdrops I also grabbed a few of those ‘moments in between’. Some of the best family magic happens in those moments without even realizing it. Like holding hands while the family strolls over to the circular chairs on the lawn for their next shot. Those chairs were a great spot to work with for photos and we did it a few different ways. One with mom and dad standing between the chairs, perfectly posed. And one with the girls hanging upside down on the chairs, having a blast, exactly the way your vacation should be! Side note, mom was in the backdrop of this photo and we made sure that we accomplished this very safely and carefully!
