The Couple’s Vision
Nicole and Thomas envisioned a classic black and white wedding that exuded elegance and sophistication. The bridesmaids wore beautiful champagne-colored dresses that perfectly complemented the black-tie attire of the groomsmen.
Nicole chose to adorn the wedding venue with all white roses and baby’s breath. This created a stunning and timeless ambiance. Her keen eye for design as an interior designer definitely came in handy with this one! Her wedding gown by Galia Lahav was a masterpiece, and her perfectly styled hair added to her radiant look.

For Nicole and Thomas’ classic wedding preferences, choosing Baker’s Cay Resort for their big day was a no-brainer. Living in Fort Lauderdale, FL, they wanted a destination wedding within a close drive. Key Largo offered the ideal location, and Baker’s Cay Resort provided everything they desired.
The breathtaking ocean backdrop for the ceremony and the indoor reception space were exactly what they had envisioned. Nicole, with her professional background in interior design, was particularly impressed by the resort’s exquisite decor. The ceremony took place on the pristine white sands by the water, creating a serene setting.

When Nicole and Thomas chose me to capture their special day, I was thrilled. They heard wonderful things about Claudia Amalia Photography from their wedding planner, Luisa of Magnolia Weddings. And upon checking our glowing Google reviews, we arranged to met for an alignment conversation.
We discovered an instant connection during our discovery call! They both agreed that I was the perfect choice to capture the elegance and beauty of their wedding day. It was such an honor to be part of their journey, documenting every heartfelt moment and intricate detail.
The Wedding Day
The wedding day was filled with beautiful moments and elegant touches. The ceremony took place against the stunning ocean backdrop and tropical tree. The reception followed indoors where guests enjoyed a delightful and fun evening. Nicole and Thomas included a meaningful sand ceremony, symbolizing their unity and the blending of their lives.
Nicole’s wedding gown from Galia Lahav was truly breathtaking. Her done-to-perfection hairstyle complemented her strapless gown beautifully. The bridal details, from her elegant shoes to the sparkling rings, added to the overall sophistication of the day.
Nicole and Thomas had their couple portraits during the cocktail hour while their guests enjoyed signature drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
First, we photographed the family formals, given a chance for the bridal party to enjoy a cocktail or two. Then, we followed up by rounding up the bridal party and taking some formal, fun and creative shots of them. Nicole and Thomas’ picked the best bridal party. They were amazing to photograph!
After all the stunning details, it was time for just the bride and groom. We decided to capture their couple photos by the pier during a breathtaking sunset. Then we took the entire bridal party for a photo session throughout the resort, showcasing the beauty of Baker’s Cay.

Nicole wore a Galia Lahav wedding gown featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline with sheer, fitted long sleeves that add a touch of sophistication and romance. The second wedding band, a delicate gold band encrusted with a continuous line of round-cut diamonds, offers a subtle yet captivating sparkle, perfectly harmonizing with the other rings.

The wedding signage with guest boards added a personal touch, welcoming everyone to their celebration. The flowers, provided by Key Largo Flowers & Gifts, featured stunning all-white roses and baby’s breath, creating a cohesive and elegant look.
The wedding cake, crafted by Maggie’s Bakery, was not only a delight to look at but also featured a sign of their last name, adding a unique and personal touch.
The reception was adorned with different color lights, creating a fun indoor party atmosphere, making Baker’s Cay the perfect place for couples who want the serenity of a beach wedding minus the sticky, hot feel in the party. The hottest item should be the couple, never the ambiance!

Elegance and Joy of Weddings at Baker’s Cay
Nicole and Thomas’s wedding at Baker’s Cay Resort was a beautiful celebration of their love, marked by elegance and sophistication. A particularly memorable photo was of the bridesmaids doing a toast by the pineapple background, a nod to Baker’s Cay Resrot’s unique charm. The reception also featured dancing, popping the bubbly, and some more dancing– creating unforgettable sparkling moments for everyone in attendance.
